RALEIGH, N.C. – The Men's Track and Field team completed their first two days at the prestigious Raleigh Relays on Friday afternoon. Jaden Kinglsey highlighted the team's performances with his 10K race.
In the final event on Thursday, Kinglsey recorded a personal best time of 28:40.56 for the second fastest time in school history. It also ranks as the fifth fastest in the history of the Big South, one of three CSU student-athletes to currently sit within the top eight. He claimed 25
th in the event as well for one of the top times in the field of over 110 runners with most hailing from Power Five institutions.
In the 5K on Thursday,
Martin Iriondo was the top finisher for the Buccaneers. He recorded a time of 14:14.92 for a new personal best. The time moves him up on the school's all-time top ten leaderboard, claiming fourth now in program history.
On Thursday they ran the 1500m, the Buccaneer fielded four runners in the event.
Collin Kleinhen was the team's top finisher with a career best time of 3:51.82. He took fourth in his heat during the day.
Liam O'Donnell had a close time to him with a personal best of 3:52.88.
Charleston Southern also fielded throwers at the meet with the team having a tremendous first day in the shot put.
Michael Calhoun took third overall in the event with a mark of 17.69m.
Odin Ferency claimed a top twenty finish with his best throw of 15.49m and
Kasey Brown with a personal best of 14.58m.
Aaron Pierce also threw in the event and had a 14.17m.
On Friday, Calhoun and Brown threw in the discus. Calhoun had a best mark of 41.65m while Brown had a 35.95m.
Charleston Southern returns to the campus of N.C. State tomorrow morning for the final day of the 2025 Raleigh Relays.
