Three Bucs Earn All-Conference Honors on Thursday Morning

CHARLOTTE – The Big South announced the 2025 annual awards for women's golf on Thursday morning. There were three Buccaneers who earned All-Conference accolades in this year's edition of the awards.
 
Katie Stephens headlined the group by earning a nod to First-Team All-Conference. She finished the year with a scoring average of 74.5 to lead the team and rank fourth in the Big South in the category. She finished in second at a trio of events for her best individual finish including the first two of the season in the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Elon Invitational and Big South Championship, the final one of the season. She had her lowest career round at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in the second round to begin the year as she fired a 66 (-5). She was named Big South Golfer of the Week in back-to-back weeks to begin the fall.
 
Odette Font Garcia was named Second-Team All-Conference. She collected her third career individual medalist honors at the Rivertowne Invitational this spring to begin the spring portion of the year. She had a 75.7 scoring average for the second-lowest on the squad and a top ten mark within the Big South. Additionally, she recorded four finishes within the top ten at events this year. She had her lowest round of the year come at the Mercer Invitational with it being a 69 (-3) in the second round. Additionally, she earned a spot on the Big South All-Academic Team.
 
Eugenie Varet earned a nod to the All-Conference Honorable Mention squad. She had a 75.95 scoring average for a top 15 mark within the conference. She recorded a top ten finish at the Big South Championship as she claimed eighth in the stroke play portion of the event. Her lowest rounds of the year each came in the first two tournaments as she collected three scores of 18 during that frame.
