CHARLESTON – Competing with their second SEC-opponent of the weekend, Charleston Southern Women's Tennis arrived at South Carolina Sunday morning. The Gamecocks would defeat the Bucs, 4-0.

South Carolina claimed the opening doubles point after earning wins on courts two and three. The Buccaneers battled on the top court, where Marina Skegro and Carlota Farrés Carreter trailed USC's Kaitlyn Carnicella and Taylor Goetz, 5–3, before the match was abandoned.

In singles play, South Carolina clinched the match with straight-set victories on the lower courts. Jane Dunyon defeated Camila Molina Barranco, 6–1, 6–0, while Jana Stojanova earned a 6–0, 6–1 win over Carle Botha. The match was sealed on court six, where Lauren Friedman defeated Amike Botha, 6–2, 6–2.

Several Buccaneers showed positive momentum before singles play was stopped. On court three, Carlota Farrés Carreter captured the first set, 6–2 against Sara Borkop. Marina Skegro and Brenda Yoris were both competitive in their respective matches, each trailing by a narrow 6–4, 2–1 margin when play concluded.
