CHARLESTON – The Ohio Valley Conference announced the winners for the weekly awards on Monday morning with Matt Rolader named Special Teams Player of Week for the second time this week.
Rolader made his lone attempt on the day converting a 48-yard field goal to tie the game at three apiece late in the first half. Later in the game, he converted on a PAT to put the Bucs up at 10-3.
This become the fourth weekly accolades from the OVC this season for Charleston Southern. Earlier this season, Baxter Pearce was selected as the league's Freshman of the Week and Tristan Lennon earned Defensive Player of the Week and Rolader was Special Teams Player of the Week.
Charleston Southern is back to nonconference play this weekend to cap off a three-game home stand as they will welcome South Carolina State. The kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Buccaneer Field with the game to be available live on ESPN+.
