CHARLOTTE – The Big South announced the winners of their weekly awards on Monday afternoon and chose
Alex Marot selected as the Player of the Week. This becomes the second winner of the award for the Bucs this spring as
Chandler Tuupo claimed it back in February.
Marot helped the team to a 4-0 record on the week while batting .643 and posting an on base percentage of .714 and a slugging percentage of 1.367. He collected nine hits, 13 RBIs and scored eight times. Additionally, he had three homers on the week. In Friday's win at Longwood, he had six RBIs, two homers and reached successfully on all six plate appearances. In each of the four contests he finished with multiple hits as well.
Charleston Southern will return to Nielsen Field @ CSU Ballpark this weekend for their regular season finale weekend. They host Radford from Thursday-Saturday with all three games to be available live on ESPN+.
