High School: Played at Pickens High School under head coach Austin Reid...Was a 4A All-Region selection as a senior...Accumlated career averages of 14.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG and 2.3 BPG...Served as a team captain and earned Team MVP and Tri-County All-Star honors.

Personal: Son of Phil and Jennifer Payne...Plans to major in Applied Mathematics.
