• Ninth in the Big South in batting average, 10th in on-base percentage
• Was one of five players to start all 56 games in 2017 lining up in centerfield
• Second on the team with a .353 batting average with 49 hits in 139 at-bats
• Finished the season with three home runs and was second with 10 doubles
• Drove in 19 RBI while scoring 28 runs
• Drew 14 walks and was hit by three pitches
• Perfect 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts
• Recorded 118 putouts, two assists, and two errors to post a .984 fielding percentage
• Second on the team with 14 multi-hit games and fifth on the team with four multi-RBI games
• Longest hitting streak of the season was six games
• Longest on-base streak of the season was six games
• 2-for-3, a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored on Feb. 25 against Hartford
• 1-for-1 with a home run and three RBI on Mar. 31 against Presbyterian
• 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBI on May 5 against Radford

BETHUNE-COOKMAN: Bakenhus signs with CSU by way of Bethune-Cookman University and Yucaipa High School. The 5-6 outfielder was also a member of the Team Gaston club team. She was named first-team All-MEAC as a freshman at Bethune-Cookman and received a MEAC Academic Award as a sophomore. In high school, she was named first-team All-CBL and first-team All-Area.

Personal: Bakenhus is the daughter of Sandi and Karl Bakenhus and plans on majoring in Kinesiology.
