High School: Gandara came to Charleston Southern by way of Hemet, Calif. and Hemet High School where she lined up as a utility player under Coach Jeff Galloway. She also played on the Minors Gold club team under Coach Lena Lovelace. Gandara was a three-time First Team All-League selection, earning Governing Board Outstanding High School Athlete honors. She was also key to the 2013 CIF Championship squad as the team won the title for the first time in school history.

Among her high school statistical accolades include being a three-year varsity letterwinner where she broke the school record for stolen bases for a career (72) and single season (28). She added a .454 batting average, a .499 on-base percentage and a .747 slugging percentage. She finished her career with 11 home runs, 15 triples, 29 doubles, 112 runs and 77 RBI.

Personal: Jade is the sister of current CSU teammate Cheyenne Gandara. She is the daughter of Billie and Joseph Gandara and plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice.
