2014: Went 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA in 12 appearances on the mound, including one start...Also had a single and scored a run in two at-bats...Pitched 2.1 innings of shutout relief while striking out two in a loss at VMI (5/17) in final appearance of season.
High School: A four-year letterman at Cardinal Gibbons High School, Pickard earned all-conference baseball honors in 2011 and 2012 along with all-conference honorable mention basketball honors in 2011...Last spring, he led his high school team in innings pitched (66.1), threw five complete games, and posted an ERA of 2.32. For the past three summers, he was primarily a catcher for the Evoshield Canes organization and also played in the Cary Bulls American Legion program...This past fall, Pickard was selected to represent the state of North Carolina in the prestigious South Atlantic Border Battle as a catcher.
Personal: Majoring in Business at CSU...Son of Jim and Beth Pickard...Born April 21, 1995...Sisters Julie (UConn) and Brooke (Elon) both played collegiate volleyball.
