Randy Fillingame joined Charleston Southern in January of 2024 as a graduate assistant with the Buccaneer football program. With the school, he serves as a defensive graduate assistant as well as the video coordinator for the program. 

In December of 2023, he graduated from Albany State University, obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics along with a minor in Business Administration. During his undergraduate career, he maintaining a GPA of 3.2. While at the school, Fillingame was a linebacker for the highly talented Golden Rams, helping them win the 2021 SIAC Championship in a historic year. He played there for three seasons and spent the first two years under now Buccaneer Head Coach, Gabe Giardina. In his last season in 2023, he recorded over 50 tackles, four sacks, and two pass break ups helping lead his team to another championship appearance.

Before Fillingame arrived at Albany State, he attended Lagrange College, a private D3 school. There, Fillingame had a breakout season recording 75 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 pass break-ups, and two interceptions. He won the conference's Defensive Freshman of the Year award during that year.

Fillingame finished high school with a 3.7 GPA while excelling as a three-sport athlete in Football, Wrestling and Baseball. He started for two years with the Bainbridge Bearcats football team and in his last season led his team to a 5A State Championship. During that season, he recorded 123 total tackles, 31 TFL, four sacks and one interception and helped him earn a spot on the First Team All-Region list and Honorable Mention All-State. Originally, he is from Bainbridge, Georgia.
