High School: Klein came to Charleston Southern by way of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Mountain Vista High School, where she lined up at middle blocker under head coach Lindsey "Jaffe" Miller. The 6-3 athlete also played on the Momentum Colorado 18-1''s under Miller. While lining up at middle blocker for the Golden Eagles, she recorded 149 kills and a .267 hitting percentage, averaging two kills per set so far in her senior season. She also recorded 64 total blocks (56 solo) and seven aces on the season. Among her accolades include earning Continental League 5A Second Team All-Conference honors on the volleyball court. She also recorded the top GPA in the 2012 season on the volleyball team, earning the Jewelry Scholastic Gold Key in her junior season. Off the court, Klein was a three-year letterman on the Golden Eagles'' basketball team, possessing the school record with 22 rebounds in one game, as well as starting on the varsity track team in high, long and triple jump.
