CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After throwing 6.0 shutout innings on Friday against Longwood, the Big South awarded Evan Truitt as conference Reliever of the Week on Monday. 

The sophomore from Berlin, Maryland went 6.0 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out a career-high 10 batters as the Charleston Southern baseball team picked up a game-one win 7-4. 

Truitt improved his record to 3-5 on the season with his performance, as the Bucs continue to hold onto that no. 4 spot in the Big South standings with three series left to be played. 

This is the first time that Truitt has been recognized by the Big South for a weekly honor and the second Buccaneer overall for the 2023 season. Chandler Tuupo was given Freshman of the Week back on March 20^th.
