• Season-high seven digs on three occasions
• Finished fourth on the team with 172 kills despite only playing in conference games

• Six games with double-digit kills
• Season-high 16 kills on September 30 against Presbyterian

2016 (Freshman)

• 2016 Big South Volleyball All-Freshman Team selection
• September 6 Big South Volleyball Freshman of the Week
• 10th in the Big South in overall kills (305) and kills per set (2.58)
• Eighth in the Big South in overall points (374.5) and sixth in points per set with 3.17
• Eighth in the Big South in conference play in blocks (53.0), and sixth in blocks per set (0.98)
• Season-high 20 kills on September 16 vs. Savannah State
• Recorded 19 kills twice (Aug. 27 at Western Carolina, Oct. 25 at Winthrop)
• Double-digit kills in 14 matches in 2016
• Three double-doubles on the season
• Season-high 15 digs on October 29 at Campbell
• Recorded 14 digs on November 1 at Presbyterian

High School: Monssen signs with the Bucs from Jacksonville, N.C. and Richlands High School where she contributed on both the outside and right side. The 6-2 athlete also played on the Cape Fear 18 Xtreme Open club team. Monssen was a three-time Coastal 3A All-Conference selection and was named the Conference Player of the Year in both 2014 and 2015. She was also a three-time All-Area selection. Monssen finished her high school career with 722 kills, 253 blocks, 505 digs and 92 aces, as well as a .238 hitting percentage.
