Lady Bucs Fall To The Highlanders

RADFORD VA.: CSU dropped the first of two consecutive games in Virginia; losing to Radford in three sets (25-19, 25-23,25-17) on Oct. 14 in Radford, Va.

CSU (4-17, 1-5 Big South Conference) was led for the second game in a row by Kayla Klinger who recorded 10 kills while hitting for .231. Amy Nokes led the way with 13 assists followed closely by Kirsten Struksnes's 12. Ashley Higginbothem had 16 digs to go along with five assists. Wynter Davis recorded five blocks, and Erin LaVenice added four. CSU totaled 32 kills, 31 set assists and 35 digs. CSU's 18 blocks were the most this season.

RADFORD (9-12, 3-3 BSC) was led by Rachel Wiechecki who notched 12 kills, one assist, and four digs. Leigh Myers dished out 25 assists while Christine Beckham had 14. Rachel Brummit led the way with 15 digs, followed closely by Emily Carlin's 14. RU totaled 44 kills, 43 set assists, 42 digs and six total blocks.


CSU will stay in Virginia, as they take on conference leader Liberty Oct. 15 in Lynchburg, Va. at 2 p.m.
