CHARLESTON – Charleston Southern volleyball alumna Giada Pais-Marden has signed her first professional contract, returning home to Italy to compete for Vicenza Volley.
Pais-Marden concluded an impressive collegiate career at Charleston Southern during her two seasons in a Buccaneer uniform.
During her senior campaign in 2023, Pais-Marden started 24 matches and appeared in 26 contests, leading the Buccaneers with 2.57 kills per set while totaling 236 kills, the second-most on the team. She also ranked second on the squad with 272.5 points and 54 total blocks, finishing among the Big South Conference's top 10 in both kills and points per set.
One of the defining moments of her final season came in her last collegiate match at Presbyterian, where she recorded the 1,000th kill of her collegiate career. Earlier in the season, she also surpassed 1,000 career points against South Carolina State. Pais-Marden reached double-digit kills in 11 matches, highlighted by a season-high 19 kills and 23.0 points in Charleston Southern's victory over Coastal Carolina.
Across her two seasons at Charleston Southern, Pais-Marden totaled 503 kills, 579.5 points, 116 total blocks, 141 digs, and 10 service aces.
Now, the Cartigliano, Italy native returns to her home country to begin the professional chapter of her volleyball career in Vicenza.
