Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern extended its winning streak to four matches as the Buccaneers topped visiting Hampton on Saturday afternoon at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex, 7-0.
The Buccaneers (4-4) took two of the three doubles matches along with all six singles competitions on their way to a sweep of Hampton (0-5). Only one of the singles matches reached a third set with the Bucs taking the other five singles in straight sets. Tiffany Pyritz and Liz Williams only surrendered one game in their 6-0, 6-1 wins and Michelle Schmitz and Madalina Man lost just two games in Schmitz's 6-1, 6-1 win and Man's 6-2, 6-0 win.
In doubles, Ericson and Kimberley Koerner finished off their doubles match 6-1 with Madalina Man and Pyritz winning 6-3 shortly after. Hampton's only match victory of the day came on a Yulia Kapitanova and Viktoria Ljungman doubles win by a score of 7-5.
Flippa Ericson's singles match was the only one to go three sets. She fought back from dropping the first set 6-7 to win the 6-2 in the second and win the breaker 10-4.
