Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C.– The Charleston Southern volleyball team cruised to a win over S.C. State in sweep fashion on Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers extended their win streak to six matches, their most since the 2009 season.
Brooke Monssen led the Bulldogs with 14 kills on 25 attempts to end with a hitting percentage of .360.
Caitlyn Michalski added to the offense with six kills (.500) while
Carsyn Starr added another six hitting .556 on the night. The freshman duo of
Rachel Feggeler and
Paige Reagor added six and fiev kills respectively.
Macey LaPorte, who currently sits first in the Big South and 54
thin the Nation for service aces, added five to her stat sheet against the Bulldogs bringing her season total to 20. LaPorte also tallied three kills in the win.
Emilee Karelse extended her nine-game streak tallying double-digit assists after picking up 24 against S.C. State.
As a team, the Bucs outhit the Bulldogs, racking up 40 kills to their 18 while notching a season high hitting percentage of .371.
This win marks the second time the Bucs have swept S.C. State this season.

This Friday the team will travel to downtown Charleston to participate in the College of Charleston Invitational. The schedule consists of a pair of matches Friday against Jacksonville State at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. matchup against host, College of Charleston. The Bucs will turn around and face New Orleans on Saturday at 11 a.m.
