After three-straight matches on the road, the Charleston Southern volleyball team will play at home this Saturday as they host the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs at 2 p.m. inside the Buc Dome.
The Bucs and Bulldogs will face off for a second time this year, as Charleston Southern swept Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs back on September 22. With that win, the Bucs improved their record to 22-8 all-time against the Bulldogs.
After falling to the Big South-leading Campbell Fighting Camels on Thursday night in four sets, Charleston Southern will go into Saturday's match with an 11-12 (4-5) record. They are in fourth place in the Big South standings with seven matches left.
Gardner-Webb owns a 5-15 record and sit right behind the Bucs in the Big South standings with a 3-5 record in conference play. In their last matchup, they fell to High Point at home 3-0. They are led by Head Coach Eric Plunkett, who is in his second year in Boiling Springs. Prior to being at Gardner-Webb, Plunkett was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Illinois State.

Skylar Yates continues to have a great season. The freshman leads the Big South in service aces with 90 on the year and is on a mission to win Freshman of the Year in the conference.
The Bucs also two other players who currently lead and have led for most of the season in their specific categories.
Indigo Young has a hitting percentage of .365, which is .35 points above the second best in the conference.
Angelika Rusin leads the conference in digs with 431.
Peyton Thompson, who led the conference in kills for most of the year, is now second in kills, averaging 3.76 kills per set.
Emilee Karelse is averaging just over nine assists per set, which is second in the Big South as well.
The Bucs will be at home for the next three matches, as High Point and Radford will come to the Buc Dome next Friday and Saturday.
