2016
- Suffered a season-ending injury on September 3 against Kentucky State
- Finished the season with nine completions in 22 attempts for 102 yards
- Averaged 51.0 yards per game and had a 40.9% completion percentage
- Finished the season with a 70.76 passer efficiency
- Finished the season with 41 rushing yards on 13 carries, averaging 3.2 yards per carry on the season
- Season-high 94 passing yards and 13 rushing yards in CSU’s August 27 opener at North Dakota State
- Season-high 28 yards on two carries on September 3 against Kentucky State
2015
- Played in nine games and started two after redshirting the 2014 season
- Played very well against ETSU (9/17) and Jacksonville State (12/11), and enters the 2016 season as a favorite to earn the starting job
- Threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 51 yards, while playing extensively at Troy (9/12)
- Earned second career start and completed 13-of-19 passes for a career-high 177 yards in the win over ETSU (9/17)
- Also ran nine times for 37 yards, with a long of 15, in the win over ETSU
- Led one of CSU’s biggest drives of the season, ending in a go-ahead touchdown, at Presbyterian (10/17)
- Copeland ripped off a 40-yard run to set up that go-ahead TD against the Blue Hose, and finished with 62 yards on five carries as the Bucs gutted out a 10-7 win
- Started at No. 2 Alabama (11/21), and ran for 25 yards and CSU’s lone touchdown
- Sparked the Bucs offense in the FCS Playoff Quarterfinals at No. 1 Jacksonville State (12/11), running for 47 yards and a touchdown
- Was also efficient through the air against Jacksonville State, completing 8-of-10 attempts for 83 yards and two touchdowns
2014: Redshirted the season.
2013: Started one game at quarterback and played in eight overall while exhibiting his promise, particularly as a ball-carrier…Finished fifth on the team with 230 rushing yards, averaging 3.1 yards per carry while scoring three touchdowns…Completed 13-of-35 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns overall…Made first career start at PAC-12 opponent Colorado in Boulder (10/19), and ran for 50 yards on 20 carries with a long of 22…Also completed 7-of-13 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown against the Buffaloes…Gave the Bucs a spark on the ground in the win over Charlotte (10/26), running for 32 yards and a pair of touchdowns as CSU pulled away for the win…Teamed with Croghan to help power CSU to a victory over then No. 3 and undefeated Coastal Carolina (11/9), running 13 times for a career-high 79 yards with a long of 32, while also completing 2-of-3 passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.
