Charleston Southern rose to meet a challenging field of programs at the Raleigh Relays over the last few days. The competitive field in North Carolina brought out the best in the Bucs.
Sprints/Hurdles
Luciano Custodio finished seventh in the 400m with his personal best time of 47.58, which has him ranked tenth in CSU history.
Shawn Langley Jr. was close behind in ninth at 47.80. Langley Jr. placed eighth in the 200m as well.
Jumps
Holden Gerth was the lone jumper in action for the Bucs. He placed 14th in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.96m.
Throws
Michael Calhoun took seventh in shot put with a best mark of 17.29m.
Aaron Pierce (57.53m) and
Landry Polk (48.51m) both competed in the javelin as well.
Distance
Alan Deogracias finished in the top half of a competitive 10K field with his new personal best time of 29:41.42 and moved into third in the CSU records books with the third 10K under 30 minutes in school history.
Sam Waldin competed in the 5K and turned in his best time of 14:36.11 which is the ninth fastest outdoor 5K in school history.
