Charleston Southern Softball Welcomes a Speedy Outfielder From Arizona McKenna Brown

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern Softball and Head Coach Christi Musser are proud to announce the signing of McKenna Brown, an elite outfielder from Gilbert, Arizona, as part of the Buccaneers' 2026 recruiting class.

Brown joins the Bucs from Arizona College Prep, where she has excelled as a four-year letterman in both softball and track & field. A natural competitor with outstanding athletic range, Brown has broken school records in the 4x1 relay and pole vault, earned All-Region softball honors, and claimed a State Championship in the 4x1. She also finished 3rd in the state in pole vault, demonstrating a rare combination of explosiveness, speed, and strength.

An accomplished student as well, Brown carries a 4.4 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a four-year Academic Letterman with First Team All-Academic honors across all four years. She plans to major in Biology at Charleston Southern.

Outside of athletics, Brown is deeply involved in service and leadership through volunteer work with the Arizona Humane Society, Feed My Starving Children, the Down Syndrome Walk, Believe Beyond Ability, the GyeDi Challenge Games, adaptive softball programs, and through coaching younger athletes.

Brown's blend of elite speed, defensive instincts, and high-level athleticism adds a dynamic presence to Charleston Southern's future outfield. Her versatility and competitive fire make her a significant addition to an already strong 2026 class.
