CHARLESTON, S.C. – With Charleston Southern softball's signing class being fully unveiled, CSUSports.com is taking an in-depth look at each of the seven signees of head coach
Christi Musser's first signing class.
The Bucs will provide a further look at one signee each day, based on the order they were announced on CSU's social media channels. Next up is Harper Schoeneweis.
Harper Schoeneweis joins the CSU Softball family from Notre Dame Prep, located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Schoeneweis will join the Bucs primarily as a corner player and catching, bringing in size and strength with a powerful bat on the right side.
In 2021, Schoeneweis hit .609 while also bringing in 23 RBI and 12 Home Runs, earning her the 4A Regional Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and first team all-region honors.
She is no stranger to tough competition, playing for the AZ Storm Mathis team out of Phoenix coached by Corey Mathis.
Head Coach Christi Musser's thoughts on Harper:
"Harper has flown under the radar during this recruiting process, and I could not be more excited that she will be a part of the CSU family. She works unbelievably hard and is extremely resilient. Harper is going to bring a huge bat to our lineup with tons of power and RBI potential from the right side. Having faced some of the best pitching in the country, I know she is going to make an immediate impact to our offensive production. She is going to be an exciting player to watch over the next 4 years!"
