Reddick sets career mark in triple jump to lead CSU at Armory Collegiate Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Charleston Southern's E.J. Reddick established a personal record in the triple jump to earn a fourth place finish at the Armory Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.

RESULTS

Reddick, a sophomore from Mauldin, S.C., jumped 15.11 meters to finish fourth in the elite 43-man field. His jump was almost a full meter better than his previous indoor career-high, set at last year's Big South Championships.

Senior Richie German continued a strong season that has already seen him set the school record in the weight throw twice. German finished 21st in the weight throw on Saturday, with a distance of 17.30 meters.

Senior Rozzie Johnson was the other competitor for CSU and first-year head coach Roosevelt Lofton on Saturday. Johnson placed 22nd among a 50-man field in 200-meter dash championship prelims, running in 22.50 seconds.

CSU returns to action next Friday as it competes in the Cupid Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.
