2013 Outdoor: Set a personal best time of 19:18.32 in the 5000M to earn a 5th place finish at the Palmetto Classic (3/8)…Ran as part of the 4x800M Relay team that finished 2nd at the Robert “Jet” Johnson Bulldog Relays (3/22-23).
2013 Indoor: Ran a time of 20:06.90 in the 5000M to finish 24th at the Tiger Paw Invitational (2/8-9).
2012 Outdoor: 25th in the 5000m at the Big South Conference meet, finishing in 21:03.35. Ran the 5000m at the Best Western/University of North Florida Invitational in 20:45.15, good for 21st. Competed in the 15000m race at the Weems Baskin Invitational (Columbia, S.C.), finishing 36th in 5:24.88, a personal best. At the Palmetto Classic, ran the 5000m in 20:00.00, good for sixth.
2012 Indoor: At Clemson''s Tiger Paw Invitational, placed 21st in the 5000m run (20:35.15). Ran in the distance medley at the ETSU Niswonger Invitational, helping the team to an eleventh place finish (13:20.59).
2011 Outdoor Season: Took ninth place at the Palmetto Classic in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 21:24.56… Took 16th in the same event at the Weems Baskin Invite, finishing in a time of 20:38.95… Placed 32nd in the 5,000-meter run at the Duke Invitational.
2010-11 Indoor Season: Finished 25th in the 3,000 meter event at the Hokie Invitational with a time of 11:51.95.
High School: Holds personal bests of 19:43 (5k), 5:38 (1,600m), 2:33 (800m) and 1:06 (400m) … won the individual state championship race in 2005 in cross country … ran for Coach Steve Olejnik … competed on the basketball and soccer teams at BSHS … also a member of the Beta Club, senior hall of fame, senior board and psychology club … finished as the first runner up in the Miss Junior Pageant and second runner up in the Miss Senior Pageant.
Personal: Daughter of Eddie and Teresa Burkholder … majoring in health promotion at CSU … came to CSU for the campus, city and the other girls on the cross country team … favorite food is cheesecake, books are the Pretty Little Liars series, movie is Step Up and place to visit is Atlanta, Ga. … advice to others is “Don’t worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough worries of its own.”
