CHARLESTON, S.C. – With Charleston Southern softball's signing class being fully unveiled, CSUSports.com is taking an in-depth look at each of the seven signees of head coach Christi Musser's first signing class.
 
The Bucs will provide a further look at one signee each day, based on the order they were announced on CSU's social media channels. The final signee to look at is BriAnna Brooks
 


As a Junior College transfer, BriAnna Brooks heads to Charleston Southern by way of Queen Creek High School and Phoenix College. 
 
Brooks is in her freshmen year with the reigning 2021 National Champion Phoenix College Bears located in Phoenix, Arizona. Before her time at PC, Brooks attended Queen Creek High School and competed with the AZ Rogue Kaye organization, coached by Randy Kaye. 
 
Brooks brings with her speed and athleticism at the plate as a true lefty triple threat. Her ability to steal bases and put pressure on opposing defenses will open more scoring opportunities for the CSU lineup. 
 
In 68 games played at Queen Creek High School, Brooks hit .436 with 95 hits and 62 runs scored. She will also bring quickness and speed with her ability to steal bases. 
 
Brooks is coming in as an outfielder but also has experience in the middle infield which will provide options and depth to the Buccaneer roster.


 
Head Coach Christi Musser's thoughts on BriAnna:
"I have watched Bri play and grow so much over the years. She is an unbelievable competitor that does what it takes to win. I love her coachability and the drive she brings to the field every day. She is going to bring speed to the outfield as well as a triple threat at the plate. She is such a tough out with her ability to hit for power and lay down bunts. Bri is a table setter and adds a different look to our lineup."
